Your wallet cries at night, both literally and figuratively. You want to recharge your batteries in a way that doesn’t drain the bank. Or on the flip side, your saving up for something and want to be more frugal. Here are 12 self care ideas on a budget I know from experience will get you feeling rejuvenated!
1. Watch your favorite show
Put your phone on vibrate and carve out time to enjoy your favorite show. Add your favorite drink or snack and make it a date.
2. Glass of wine & movie
Grab your favorite wine and have a movie night in alone. Or skip the wine and enjoy a movie of your choice.
3. Nap until you feel like waking up
Turn off your alarm and treat yourself to some nice uninterrupted Zzz’s.
4. Enjoy tea on the balcony or backyard
Prop your feet up with your favorite tea or drink outside. Let the sun invigorate you as you enjoy some “me time”. If your not sure of your fancy, try lavender chamomile or hibiscus tea to start.
5. Pamper yourself with a spa day
Delight in a day of DIY spa treatments. Make a face mask, soak your feet, create a lip scrub, exfoliate with a body scrub. If you own one, give dry brushing a go.
6. Transform your shower into an oasis
Create a playlist of your favorite songs and listen in the shower. If you prefer to shake it up, unwind listening to tranquil music or nature sounds. A few options are thunder and lightening, rain, rain forest or ocean sounds.
7. Cozy up to a book of your choice
Snag your favorite spot to read whether that be a chair or bed or park and read that book you’ve been dying to read.
8. Allow yourself some quiet time
Life can be constantly crazy, unpredictable and noisy. Spend a few minutes to enjoy some peace and quiet.
